In this body of work, I added a Barbie to Tehran’s murals doll to introduce a feminine presence to the streets of my hometown. Murals in Iran are mostly state-regulated, so the depiction of women is limited to a conservative representation. I wanted to alter this landscape.
در این مجموعه کار، من یک عروس باربی را به دیوارنگاره‌های تهران اضافه کردم تا حضور زنانه‌ای را به خیابان‌های شهرم معرفی کنم. دیوارنگاره‌ها در ایران اغلب تحت نظارت دولتی هستند، بنابراین تصویر زنان به یک نمایش محافظه‌کارانه محدود می‌شود. من می‌خواستم این منظر را تغییر دهم.
